ABOUT ME

I’ve been a professional writer since 2005. As a master’s graduate in economics and international trade law, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my work at Tirnyn Communications. With a background in healthcare, I have a deep understanding of the challenges that healthcare providers face, and I use this insight to help write engaging and  effective content content for healthcare websites and social media channels to produce high-quality healthcare reporting.

Background

A child of immigrant parents, I was born in Canada, grew up in Australia, and moved to the United States in 1995. I studied law at the University of Melbourne in Australia and went on to practice commercial law before obtaining a Master’s degree focusing on the health economics of mental health care, switching careers, and moving to Tucson to become a researcher at the University of Arizona. While working, I completed a Masters in International Trade Law at the James E. Rogers College of Law and subsequently worked as an economist in the health care industry. I moved to New York City in 1998 to become the Director of Pharmacoeconomics at HIP Health Plan of New York and subsequently joined a consulting company specializing in health economics. While working in New York City I studied and passed the New York Bar Exam, before following my husband, who relocated for work to Northern California. I was admitted to the New York Bar in 2003 and continued my consulting career before pursuing my life-long dream of becoming a writer.
